Out on a rare Sunday trip w/ Mike Padgett from Chatsworth. Mike is a long time friend and we've been out many times. Mike was hungry for a striper bite really bad so we chased the linesides for the first couple hours this morning. We had good topwater action from Stripers and Hybrids this morning and had a few spotted bass mixed in on top as well. Mike boated the first fish about 10 mins in, a 12-14lb striper that pulled like a 20 LOL. The spots were mixed in with stripers and would beat them to your bait if they were around. Mike had a big striper boil his bait multiple times before a spot torpedoed it from the side, and on other occassions we'd see stripers surfacing and have small 2lb spotted bass eat our bait. I caught my biggest Carters Lake Hybrid today on top, it weighed just shy of 9lbs not far from the lake record. There were spots with that fish as well, it hit right at the boat and as we looked down there were a couple of 3+lb spots all over it. The Hybrids are shaped so much like a spot they cast the same shadow in the water so for a moment I thought I had a big spot, until it went into overdrive LOL. Overall not a bad morning w/ multiple stripers, spots and 1 big hybrid. Around 830 we decided to get after the spots, and ended the day catching 20+ spots on Jighead worms, Scroungers, and Jerkbaits. Best 5 around 12lbs. Biggest spot being around 3lbs, not pictured. Padgett had his shirt off in the picture and I don't want to scare anyone LOL. Enjoyed the day Mike thanks again for the trip.

LB
