RR and I hit the water hard today. Im not sure why but im twice as exhausted this time than last. We found a nice flat with fish this morning and threw traps at em. We ahd 18 pounds in by 8am at the latest. He kept whacking em, I switched baits and threw a big spinner bait and was able to contribute 1 fish of our first 5. After about 10am the trap bite completely died for us. We went to worm fishing and slowing things down when we were able to cull a couple of the smaller ones out. Ryan and I had got after em the past couple of days to prefish and he was on a big time crank bait bite. Today that was NOT the ticket. We couldnt buy a bite on the Crank Bait, it might of been better but it seemed all the "good spots" were taken. We found our fish between 12 and 1 foot. End of the day I went back to the trap in the big wind and hooked a big fish waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay out from the boat. I fought it for a long time, seemed like an hour. She shot under the boat and turned its hear and back out to where she came. Just out of net length turns her head and goes home. That would of culled our smallest and made the final interesting but I dont think it would of upgraded 2#'s (Thats what Ill tell myself to sleep tonight). Ryan put us in a great spot today and that makes 2 straight CBA 1st losers! I learn from RR every time im out. emoToast
