Left the north marina at about 01:00pm the wind was pushing the waves around a lot so I fished the marina for a while, there was a man on a tube and two other boats in the marina, when the wind stopped and the weather cleared I headed out to the west-south area, had on the line a green headed white gig NO HITS, changed out both lines (double poll permit) to other style lures and gigs, NO HITS, tried all the colors of the rainbow, and gave them allsorts of sizes NO HITS, tried different trolling speeds NO HITS.
I decided to go with the trolling laws and depth manual and trolled with 70 feet out past the planner board; -HIT- it was a med size crappie, caught on a med size Black and white Renegade. Back in the water he went to grow up a bit.

Trolled the west side to light poll with a lot of fish on the finder NO HITS.

The wind at this time was picking up and the storm was moving in.
[inline "Wind is blowing.gif"]
Headed back across the lake at 45 mph (Love the new motor) to Freeway bay, at this time the waves were picking up, so to avoid danger went back into the north marina, fished there until the storm calmed down. While in the north marina I loaded again different style of Renegades, lucky crafts, and the old Reliable stand by that has always got the fish to hit at Willard (Wiper, Walleye on at Willard. (Now sold out, see post of pics on this lure in BFT Willard fishing site) headed back out to an area that did me good a few weeks ago. While out on the east end I picked up a guy fishing from the shore to give him a taste of fishing and trolling, The fish gods were looking out for us -HIT-,
[inline "More Wiper.gif"]
and it was on my good ol Reliable, the guy with me could not believe the size of this wiper
[inline "Wiper # 1.gif"]
Now I know what is in taste of the wipers mouth, I took the guy back to his area, and headed back out this area and loaded all the polls with good ol reliable, and keep the distance between the planer and lure and planer board and boat the same.
It was now closing in on 07:00 pm and sun was now poking though the clouds.
[inline "Willard sun set.gif"]
From this time on till dark it was wiper after wiper, at one point I had two on at the same time. I called and talked to Old_Coot (Now his blood pressure is up, and he did not sleep though the night) and when I got off the phone with him another wiper on.
[inline "Wiper # 2.gif"]
It was starting to get dark so I decided to pull in the lines and call it a day, when doing so another wiper hit,
There was a total of 9 Wiper (let the small ones go) I keep 6 total
[inline "Supper Take home.gif"]
HINTS for you
