Picked up Fishhound (Chuck) and away we went. Got on the water around 9:30 and fished till 6pm. Fished for bass and had a couple of Tiger's cut me off quick. Lost a bass coming back to the boat and played with some perch and bluegill and crappie (small stuff) We seen some nice bass between 3-6lbs. We couldn't have counted the number of Tigermuskies that we saw. So many all over the place. We pulled up to a bush underwater and there were 5 musky floating around that bush. We had a great day on the water until about 5:30 when the ski boats showed up.... Thanks for the company Chuck...

Nice report, don't you hate it when those Muskie just hang out in plane site and don't bite your offerings? Me and a friend went to Pineview on Saturday and had 3 monsters follow to the boat, then just stop along side us and watch. One day I will land one of them. I think I only have 300-400 more casts before I get one[sly] that is if the saying is true about "the fish of a thousand casts"

You need to go to Newton then and try. I dont know if this is true but we had a guy go by us trolling and he said he landed 5 over 30" and lost another 5 at the boat. Then as I was waiting on fishhound to back down the trailer another small boat came by me and the two guys in it said they landed 6 musky. I have a hard time trusting their word because me and fishhound threw alot of stuff and trolled around the lake and only had 2 hookups that broke off immediatley...... that was it for musky.....

If it were me I would beleive the reports. I was up there last week to try for bass and crappie. I could not get the tigers to leave me alone. Landed 2 and lost 4 due to not having steel leader. And I only fished for about 3 hours.

I had one pole setup for bass and one for musky with steel leader... of course they would only bite my bass pole without the steel leader.....

I will be going back for sure, the sun was up high and no wind and you could see in the water really good. I would like to go back on a overcast day..... I think I would do alot better on a cloudy day....... When I do I will put up another invite...

Yes, that Musky fishing is pretty addictive. Newton gets a bit frustrating dealing with all the water skiers, because it is so narrow. Other than that it is pretty east to catch the Muskies once you figure them out in there. Maybe I will see you out there, I fished it about three times a week last summer/fall.[Wink]
