Brian Ekx of Colorado caught new Wyoming state record kokanee today at Flaming Gorge. The fish was 6.26 lbs & 24 - 1/2 inches. He was fishing on team #89 Vance's Tackle at the Buckboard derby. Congratulations Brian...Awesome fish!!!

That is a fish of a lifetime but to catch it during the derby that was pretty cool.congratulations An extra 650 in his pocket. I donated my 150 but it was fun. Maybe next year. I may be using some Vance's tackle.

I heard a rumor about that fish while I was at the Gorge this past week. Didn't know it was va Colorado boy, though.
