I decided to head out on my kayak for a few hours this morning. I started the day off catching a few smaller fish on a Pop-r and a spinnerbait. This went on from about 6:15-8:00am. Most were short fish but a few keepers were mixed in. I move over and tried a rocky point with no luck. I started back into the cove i launched from on the opposite side flipping and pitching docks. I started with a jig with no luck and decided to try a shakey head. It was the best move of the day for me. I caught a ton on the shakey head including my personal best largemouth which was 25 inches long and 15 in girth.... with the weight formula it come out to 7.8lbs beating my old personal best my 1.8lbs. I ended catching around 30 fish with my best 5 going around 16-17lbs.
