Went tonight to see if my summer fish were in their usual spots and they were. Caught a 15 incher off an off shore point that is 18 feet at the tip and drops into 26 feet on a drop shotted soft jerk bait. The wind and waves were so bad that I decided to check out a topwater schooling area and the fish were there and bustin'. Caught 4 or 5 there but had my chug bug blasted out of the water numerous times without hooking up. That spot is an area where a long submurged point that is 5-8 feet on top drops off the side and goes down to 15 or so feet in short order. Went to one last spot where a 5-6 foot flat drops quickly into 30 feet. It was dark by then and I threw a black and purple spinnerbait with a "thumper" colorado blade and the fish were on the drop. Caught two good fish, one about 2.5lbs and the other went right at 5lbs. I got a pic of her and let her go by my dock. Hopefully she will stay around. I only fished that spot for about 15 min. and I called a buddy that had shown me that spot years ago to tell him that there were good fish there. It was a good night fishing from about 7pm to 10pm. I am fishing with MrWiskers in the AM so I need to get to bed. My camera reset again, sorry.<br />
