summer perch fishing

I never tried to catch perch in the summer like i do in the winter. But am taking the kids to pineview and wondered if we could just drop some perch jigs over the edge of the fishing boat and catch them in the summer?
Any info on this would be great thanks.

Yep you can do that. I'd also recommend working close to submerged brush and casting letting the lure slowly sink then slow retrieve in.

However be prepared for the on slaught of the power squadrons by having a good anchor.

PV has some very nice size Perch and you may have to go a little deeper and off the shore lines to get to them. Fish'n in the middle would be sucidal with the power squadrons.
