Put in at Soddy Creek and didn't know what the day would bring as the last 2 Saturdays have been pretty tough fishing for us. We fished main river docks and had a ball. Bingo. 84 deg water temp and the fish were in 10 ft of water, laying around in the shade. I don't blame them, it was hot. 1/32 oz jigs, Bobby Garland bleeding shad & chrystal shad, dipped of course, nearly on the bottom. Duck ( my son) and I are in the process of teaching Wyatt (11yr old grandson) how to shoot docks, so sometimes we needed a helmet, shin guards and safety glasses, but he did very well. He actually caught 3 fish for the day. We had a wonderful day with 43 total fish, 24 keepers (11 or better), 2 tarps, 1 LM, 1 bluegill, 1 yellow bass. Strange day, at one time we were sitting in 4 fow shooting under a dock that had 12 ft under it. More like Spring than the hot summer. No matter, the Lord blessed us with a great day.
