I noticed that there were no fishing reports posted today so I'll make one....Went to my regular spot with live bait and didn't do too hot, only caught about 6 with the big fish (only one I weighted) 2 pounds 7 ounces. I figure the best three were no more than 6 pounds. They were not hitting the bait hard at all, just kind of taking in and holding it in their mouths, I pulled the hook out of the shad while it was halfway in a fish's mouth 3 times at least. I also caught about a 5 pound channel cat, first one down there in a while. Casted a c-rigged plum worm out into the current once, and stay with me now, I had a fish take it that "bit" like a big one. As in very slow, heavy, substantial movements....you know what I mean? So I waited a few seconds, set the hook, and my knot must've been jacked up or something because wtih barely any pressure the whole rig came off, there wasn't even a snap as if it held for a second. Oh well.
