Got out for a few hours this evening and glad we did. Bite was good!!! Fished a shallow flat with 4 to 6 ft of water on it with some deep water, 12- 15 ft close by, the fish were pushing bait all over the place. We caught 8 or 9 keepers in less than an hour on Flukes and a small jig, bite slowed down just before dark so we moved up river a little ways to a little deeper water, 10 to 15 ft and hit some docks with some good brush in and around them and caught 2 or 3 more fish but just a couple of keepers so we moved to a cove with some more docks with brush and in around 10 to 17 ft of water and caught 5 or 6 more fish with a couple of keepers. We headed back down the river and hit one more deep water bank with some mixed brush and rock and caught a nice fish around 3 or 3 1/2 slow rolling a big spinnerbait and another solid keeper on a jig with a craw trailer. Had a great night and caught just over 20 fish with best 5 between 13 and 14 lbs. All fish were caught on 9 1/2 in texas rigged worm, jig n craw, flukes, and spinnerbait. The majority of the more active fish were in water from 5 to 10 ft with a surface temp 79-80 degrees. No pics tonight because my lame phone won't take pics in the dark.. emoDoh
