My partner had to miss on the Riverpark TX so at the last minute I invited my dad to the lake again. We got on the water about 6:00 and it was still dark so I stopped at a few lighted docks we spotted from the ramp and pitched a jig. My first cast I felst a solid thump and set the hook on what felt like a really big fish. Turned out to be a drum that weighed almost 9lbs emoBang. Went a little bit farther down to an old swimming area and caught some shorts on the docks there and caught out first keeper which was also a smallmouth. I thought that was weird since it was only about 5 ft. emoScratch. Once the sun got up we hit some more areas in 9ft to 15 ft and caught plenty of fish. Most were caught on a spinnerbait but my best were all caught on football jigs around rocks and shellbeds. My biggest was maybe 4lbs or a little less I didn't weigh it. Dad caught the most fish he has since he started going with me and I really enjoyed that. The temperatures were much better also emoCool. Water was down to 80 deg. in most spots and bass were scholling up on shad all over emoTongue. Good day for numbers but not a good heavy limit. emoThumbsup
