Nash Res & Hobbs Pond
#1
I was poking around in the F&G Stocking website and saw that Hobbs Pond and Nash Res. were stocked, way back when with Bass & Perch. Does anyone know anything about them? Where are they? Do they still exist? Anyone ever fished them?

I used to live close to Nash and fished quite a bit. Did well on Bass but I haven't fished it in 17 years. I think it was drained a couple of times since then. It used to be a Public fishing area but I think it is posted now. Nielsen's used it to pasture their Jersey bulls and the bulls didn't like fisherman invading their pasture. It is located between 3200 west and the Westside Hiway on 8th South. Drive up Frew Hill road and just keep going West until you find it down in the hollow by the train tracks. Call Ward Nielsen and ask him about it, I am sure he will answer your questions. Let me know what you find out, I drove by it the other day and was wondering how it would be. Hobbs ponds are just North of it. Follow 3200 West to the Cutter Race Track and go West and you will find them.

Thanks!
I was curious where they were and if they still have fish.
Then is this Nash Res. south of Dayton?
I don't see any ponds north of here.

Yes it is, the center pivot towards the middle, just a little left you can see Hobbs ponds toggle your map just a little South and you can see the Nash res. just a little East of the tracks. It looks kind of greenish.

I used to catch plenty of 11" bass at Nash, but have not been back since it was drained several years ago.

Drained doesn't sound promising. F&G only stocked them once a long time before that. So unless someone restocked them-------
