Scofield October 10, 2009
#1
A big thank you to all those who shared information on fishing Scofield. Randy, George and I used all of the tips yesterday. Catching couldn't have been better (we landed around 150 fish) -- except that most of the fish were on the small size. We also managed to land some decent size cutts, tigers and rainbows. Randy caught a fish that definitely looked like a brown trout. Does Scofield have a few browns in it? We could have done even better had it not been for the wind. It never blew extremely hard, but it was blowing from the second we arrived about 7:15 AM and until we left at about 4:00 PM.

Glad you got into them. There are browns in Scofield that come up and down from fish creek. But we did catch a tiger two weeks ago that looked just like a brown. Only upon very close examination could we tell it was a tiger.

I have seen I think 2-3 pictures of browns caught from Scofield. I have never ersonally caught or seen one caught though. But with all the browns in the streams, you know there are a few in there.

Exactly what Kent said! It was a great day of fishing and a great day of catching. Even the company was good! We basically just fished wherever we could be out of the wind the most, and everywhere we went the fishing was hot. Most fish were small, like Kent mentioned, but every now and again somebody would pull out a decent sized fish. Just enough to keep us interested all day. For the first time this year, I actually lost track of my fish count! Light tackle is a must, but it must be up to the task of a good fish every now and then. We caught some good Tigers, Cutts and Rainbows. That fish that I caught that looked like a Brown really looked like a Brown to me also. I should have taken a picture of it I guess!

I used to N.ot have E.nough T.ime O.ff to go fishing.  Then I retired.  Now I have less time than I had before. Sheesh.
