Willard Up Date
#1
The Wipers at Willard are in the shallow water....

The shad has moved into water that is 4' to 0' deep of water, not all shad but the ones that are 1" to 3" shad and the wipers are eating all they can get to...

Try fast moving baits, in 1' out to 5' for best catches, fishing from 8:00 on till wind pushes them out to deeper water boilers along the shore and around the brush....

Some baits that are working are lucky craft lip less in ghost, Chartreuse shad and gun metal shad and sammy in Chartreuse shad...

I used a reel with 6.4 to 7.2 work the lures fast even the top water...
Best is with no wind or waves...

Is this first hand experience or did it come from some one else? The reason I ask, is because you usually post a report when you give information. It does make sense but I've caught them out in the open this time of the year also. Sounds like I need to get out there and check it out for myself[Wink]. Thanks for the info Cliff.

Thanks for the information. I think I might try it the end of the week when it warms up a hair. This weather has really got me down.
Thanks
