Best Uinta lake/trails map?
#1
Where can I find a good map that will show the majority of the trails and lakes in the uintas? I will need it this weekend while deer hunting/fishing. Does Sportsmans carry anything like this?

I recommend using 7.5 minute topos of the area you plan to hunt. Forest Service offices for the Uinta-Wasatch-Cash and Ashley forests should have the maps you need.

The DNR bookstore has everything you could ask for. No. Temple and Redwood. i picked up a bunch before the elk hunt for the bear river area of the northern Uinta's.
I also have most of utah in PDF's but don't remember how i collected them all.

I am not worried about the area we will be hunting, more how to get to a lake that will produce grayling. Just wondering if there is any good trail maps you can buy. Or if I know where I am going I can go with the 7.5 minute topo map

They have maps that vary in size from the entire state down to the 7.5 maps. Maps "Uinta 1, 2" cover just the Uinta's from kamas to Vernal up to the state line in two separate maps printed on both sides and show all of the forest service trail numbers as well as some unnamed 4x4 and foot trails. as far as which ones will have Grayling i am no help.
