Chester Report
#1
Went up to Chester today. Didn't have much luck, but had a good time. The wind was coming up and made it a little tricky. I did get a couple hits, lightly, but hooked one decent rainbow in the 20" range. My 3yr old had fun in the mean time throwing rocks in the water and generally acting like a kid =). Still was nice to just get out for a bit!

It is amazing how many nice rainbows can come out of that stretch of river. Good to see your kid has a life jacket on.

I like a seam just down from there where the water flows around the island.

Great to see your son has a life jacket on, you know what's the most important . I see so many through out the year that have a child running around the river's edge with out one and it makes my stomach sick.

Ever since I started taking him at about 6 months old he gets the lifejacket on as soon as we're out of the car. For him it's automatic (I'm still working on it for me[blush]). It really paid off last year at Ririe. Was on the dock and he went to grab his fishing pole which an eyelet had caught on his back pack. As he tugged I saw what was coming, put my rod down and just as I reached over the rod popped loose and he took 2 steps before catching his heel on the edge of the dock and in he went. He bobbed up w/ legs and arms churning, headed for the boat ramp. Just reached in, grabbed the jacket and pulled him onto the dock. He was ticked as all get out, but I was extremely thankful that I'd had the forethought to put the life vest on him!

Good for you- the most important treasure that we have and I see people more concerned about monetary things almost everytime I go.
