Pan fish anyone?
#1
I have been to Twin Lakes and Weston once or twice in the last couple of weeks, but can't seem to find much in the way of panfish. Is anyone else catching any?

Water temp was about 50 degrees and the air was probably less than that. I am mostly fishing in the afternoons.

The trout are active at both and I caught them, and I caught a bunch of the small bass and one perch at Weston but only two bluegills at Twin.

The fishing was OK. I am not complaining, but I really had my teeth all set for some pan fish to take home. Overall it seemed really slow, so it might be the changing weather. My choice of days and times to go are more dictated by opportunity than good weather.

If anyone is catching anything, could you tell me what area, how deep, and on what?

I don't think I have fished as late into the year before so this is kind of new to me.

Thanks for the help all!!

I've never fished much for panfish this late until this year. I've fished Cascade Reservoir for perch about five times in the past month and I've noticed one pattern.....the bite has been turning on closer to dusk, and for a shorter period, each time. I went on Wednesday and didn't catch anything between 2pm and 6pm and then it just turned on like a light switch for about 45 minutes. I haven't fished any in the morning so I don't know if the converse it true. Good old worms have been the most effective but most my bigger fish have been on small spoons.
