I ordered this shelter from Cabelas 2 weeks ago for $299 and I just happend to check their site today and they had it on sale for $229. I called them and they refunded me the difference. But if you are looking to get a shelter I doubt you can find a better deal. This one is made by Clam, its the same as the Clam Command post, which I couldn't find anywhere for under $300. In fact the one they sent me wasn't even black with Cabelas logos its Blue with Clam logos. So if you are looking for a shelter this one is hard to pass up. Can't wait to try it out.

That is a great deal. The one a little smaller (6'X8') is $199. I am wondering if the command post size is more than I want to pull for me and 2 kids at 40lbs vs 32lbs. The 4 extra feet would be great.
Can only one side be setup if I am alone?

I set mine up just fine by myself. I use a cordless drill to speed up the process.
By the way if you have a four wheeler my eskimo caravan is also a good deal at $250.[cool]

That would be great if I had a 4 wheeler. Ialways wanted a flip shelter but have no way to pull it, and they are heavy. I wish they would let snowmobiles on Ririe but restrict them to something like10 -15mph and then only from the parking lot to the fishing area. Yes they are noiser than 4 wheelers but animals will adapt if they are kept on the road and lake and used only it is daylight, They have in Yellowstone. If I had a 4 wheeler I would use it before a snowmobile on Ririe. Then again I would not take a 4 wheeler on Island Park Res most of the time due to rising water.
I decided on the command post size and ordered it,well it is on backorder. I couldn't pass up 4 more feet of shelter for $30 vs the 6'x8' one. more versatile for overnighters and summer use.

I see Cabelas raised the price back up to $299. Sometimes if you call them and ask if you can get it for the sale price they will still let you. Outdoorsmanguide also has a good deal on the clam shelters right now.
