UV Protectant?
#1
I was wondering if anyone used a protectant for their vinyl tubes? I've been advised to use this:

Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

I posted about this way back. Been using it and swear by it for many years.
Plus my boats look new after ten years and better.
Just be sure to buff it off as it will collect dirt if you don't.
Oh and I buy it by the gallon.

It even works on cloth.

YES. I have seen Armoral crack plastic over time, but never have seen it with 303. I guess the ingredients are close and no scientist, but just my experience.

Is Armoral a UV protectant?

Allot of the big raft co. use 303.

Good stuff!!! I use it on the bottom of my royalex canoe also. I avoid using it on the SEAT of my ODC420 as it considerably adds to the "slipperiness factor".

Goddess... by the gallon... WOW!

Just teasing about "being as good as" Armor All. [Wink] But to answer your question, YES, it is a UV protectant.

Thanks, folks! I'll give it a try, but not right off with a gallon.[Image: surprised.gif]

I was told to keep the armour-all as far away from my 'toon as I could.
