New Member From Germany

[Smile] Thank you for sending the pdf-book to me. It is very interesting with a lot of useful information!!!

Here in Germany I like it to go spin-fishing for pikes in lakes and flyfishing for trouts and whiting in rivers with a float tube.

I'm a happy user of fishing-equipment from USA. In the last years I have imported a lot of US-products, for example:
- Outcast Fishcat 4
- Garmin fishfinder 300c
- Tite-lok transducer holder
- Simms waders, clothing + boat bag
- Sage Rods
- Orvis Reels
- Fishpond bag.
Best regards from Germany to USA [fishin]

[cool][#0000ff]Welcome aboard and thanks for the book order. I hope you are able to get a few things from it that will help you in your local tubing. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]We have had several members in the past from European countries. One of our members from Ireland (IrishFloatTube) does a lot of the same kind of float tube fishing that you do. In fact, he has his own website. You may wish to send him a PM or visit his website.[/#0000ff]

Cool and you probably bought them from the US but in truth, the SAGE RODS are probably the only thing made in the USA.
But they were are probably designed in the US.

Look forward to PICTURES!!!!!

Welcome to the tubing forum!

I'm relatively new here too... great bunch of folks!

Personally, I don't ice-fish so I'm anxiously looking forward to open-water/ice-out. Winter THERE too, right? When do you expect to get back out onto the water?

Slovakia is a very beautiful country. From which part of Slovakia are you coming? I plan to visit the capital Bratislava in the next years.

In the last 3 years I have visited the neighbour country Czechia. The Vlatava River near Vyssi Brod is a nice and good flyfishing place.

My last fishing trip with the float tube was at December 23 when I caught a nice pike. In January here in Germany there is also too much ice. Probably in 4 weeks I can go back to the water.

Welcome to the forum SCV.

We're a very international community here.
I'm tubing in Ireland for trout and pike much of the time.

Our ice lasted just a couple of days in Ireland ... we just don't get the extreme temps most of you continental fisherfolk experience. [Smile]
Unfortunately the wind has been blowing at gale speed a lot of the time since the melt so my tube which was put away for the house renovations, is still bone dry and waiting for it's first session of 2010.
Not long now ...
