Palisades in the Spring?
#1
I have an occassion to be in Alpine around the weekend of Memorial Day, which is also the opener of fishing season on PaliSades.

Can anybody tell me if the Cutts and Browns are actively feeding by then? If they are, I will pull my boat up there. If not, I'll just leave it home and call it a business trip.. [:/]

Thanks

paliSades is open all year. You were probably looking at paliSades lakes instead of reservoir. If that make any difference to you.

Good Luck

If you are refering to the reservior fishing can be great or tough in May. That is the peak of the winter run-off so the lake will be high, off-color, and have lots of floating debris including full grown pine trees !! The fish will still bite but trolling can be tricky. I like the lake as soon as the ice is off, it can be incredible. If you are in Alpine and want to catch some Lakers, drive up to Jackson Lake in the park. Let me know, I will be out there and we could hook up !!
