Got there mid morning and caught all kinds of fish except for the Laker. A couple of mid size perch. For a while it was catch a fish every time we dropped a white jig tipped with a wax worm. Tried earth worms and meal worms but the waxies were the ticket if they were on a white lure.
We were in 52 feet of water with the fish coming through at 20 to 30 feet under the ice. We moved and fished in 22 feet of water and that is where we caught the non stop trout.
There are some hidden slush pockets out there. If you are careful you will be able to navigate around the lake on an ATV. Those frozen snowmobile tracks were like crossing RR tracks but they were a firm track to travel on. The snow on top of the ice wasn't too bad if you have a good 4 x 4 ATV.
