Are there any ponds in Davis county open to fishing right now? I heard that Farmington City Pond is closed for the winter. Is that true? Where else is the fishing good?

Bountiful Pond in West Bountiful is a great place. I dont know how the ice right now but its a fun place to go kill a few hours. Bows, Perch, white bass, cats and such.
You go west on 5th south all the way to and over the legacy hwy then follow the frontage road. The turn off is just before you hit the landfill. Dont eat the fish... Everyting from bountiful washed down into that pond. have fun. [signature]

[#000050]Jensen Nature Park pond in Syracuse was totally open at the beginning of this week. People were just catchin' dinky planter 'bows, though.
Usually Holmes Creek in Layton is infamous for great fishin' in winter, but I haven't seen ANY reports on it this season...I don't even know if it's iced over or not (I could go see, on the way home from church, tomorrow, if you want) Correct that Farmington is supposed to be closed for the winter, but I've heard people say they go anyway (it's only illegal if you get caught? LOL) Roy, Clinton, Clearfield... I dunno anything about them for winter. I do all my fishing in summer, so don't generally pay attention to winter information. [/#000050] [signature]

Here is a link I found a while ago. It lists a bunch of fisheries by county.
