Fished the first leg of the BFL Choo-Choo Division Tournament on Guntersville today. 195 boats launched out of Goose Pond. My Boater and I started in Town Creek where I was able to land a 5lb 10 oz largemouth on a firetiger Ultra Vibe. My Boater tired of the grass after that and we spent the rest of the day pitching jigs and craws to rock. I managed a bunch of smaller fish and only one other keeper. Must've been a tough day because more than half of the Co-Angler field blanked. Weighed in 2 fish for 7-10 for a 26th place finish and a decent check. Water temps ranged from 43 to 45 degrees. Main channel was fairly muddy but Town Creek was only lightly stained. Water levels continued to rise all day. When we got back to Waterfront, water was splashing over the docks. Will be fishing Lake Martin for the first time next week in the Bama Division Tournament.
