Due to baskeball games in the morning, we didn't get up to the lake until after noon. We brought a board to get on, it was soft around the edges. The slush wasn't bad, only an inch or two going out. We set up in 10-25 ft of water. The fishing was slow at first and the kids went sledding. As it got later the fishing got better. We ended up very cautching quite a few fish between 10 and 17 inches. The 17" was caught by my youngest. Grandpa did the best, he outfished us all today. Chartreuse was the best color tipped with waxies. I tried mealies and only had a couple of bites. I caught a couple tipped with a single salmon egg as well. With getting everything ready for my 3 boys 7-12 and myself, I left the camera home. The fish were all bows and most had nearly salmon colored flesh. They all went in the smoker and the end product is awesome. It won't last long.
