Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone had fished Porcupine lately. Just wondering on ice conditions and if anyone has had any luck. Most reports I have heard have not been very good, I need some motivation before I head up there.
Thanks

When I was at Mantua last week, I chatted with a nice local fella who had mentioned he had been doing decent for kokanee up at porcupine. I'm guessing by the conversation it had been a week or 2 since he had been up there so that "report" is 3+ weeks old.
I am not familiar with the area but he did say the roads were a litlle bad for a 2-wheel drive truck. He had to park at the bottom of some hill and hoof it up with the sled.
Sorry about being so vague. Good Luck!!

I was up there for a bit today. Drove all the way to the upper end where the spring runs in. It snowed a little (1in) today but I'm sure you could still make it with 4 wheel if ya wanted to. Not alot of action near the inlet for us. Nailed a few bows by the spring. Did'nt try for kokes. They're always there just gotta find em. Ice is good. 2 or 3in of crust and 10+in of solid. Good Luck!
