Chesterfield 2/20
#1
My father-in-law and I fished Chesterfield Saturday for 5 hours or so. When we first pulled up the truck said it was -15 F. The first hour or so was brutally cold but it gradually warmed up. The fishing was steady for most of the day. We ended up catching 18 fish between the two of us, biggest was 21 inches. The bites were very light and we caught the majority of our fish while jigging. Rubber jigs in pink or white tipped with night crawler seemed to be the best option. We fished in 10-22 feet of water, with most of the fish caught in the 10-12 feet depth. Overall, it was a very fun day despite the freezing conditions. Tight lines.

Thanks for the report, how was the ice, any slush?

Good to hear that people are still getting them there. I will probably wait until ice out from the pontoon before I go down there again.

Creed,

Ice was good. Very thick. Thanks to the cold temps there wasn't any slush but it looked like there had been several days prior. There was a crust/snow layer. Hopes this helps.
