FNA you are not aloud to post links to other forums on here unless they are an affiliate of bigfishtackle.com . you may however post info about the bowfishing tournament and where to sign up as long as it doesnt direct members to another forum.

thanks and sorry i had to edit your post.

A lot of forums are like this and what most moderators and administration suggest not making the kinks clickable or suggest a google search of the forum or non site sponsor. The thing I have been doing is something like this
http://tinyurl.com/yg3flyk
would that fly here or not ? I'm not trying to make a problem just asking [Smile]

Won't happen again. Is the edited version good to go?

The link wasn't the problem, it was the fact that it went to a site with a forum. Like Chrome-Junky said, people can talk about tournaments, give information etc... it just can't go to a site with a forum.

I hope the bowfishermen in your state at least pick up the carcasses so they don't lay in the water and on the bank polluting everything! Nothing more disgusting then someone who kills for the sake of killing and then just leaves the animal to rot. [Image: dumb.gif]

during a tourney i beleive you will be disqualified to leave carcasses on the bank. but i might be wrong.

If you want to see some awesome carp removal there are some good posts on the Utah Board about the carp removal in Utah Lake. A company is pulling them out with nets under the ice. They have a contract to pull out so many million pounds. They are trying to revive Utah lake since 90% of the biomass is carp. I noticed that most of these tournaments are at Utah Lake so as long as they clean up the mess I think they will be doing a good thing for the lake.

As a kid, the cat food companies would come in and harvest the carp out of Blackfoot Res. Where they did the processing the trout fishing was out of this world. The water would be almost red and the trout had the feed bags on. Great fishing!

Wow great video. I have to go to cabelas! I'm in mountain home but, i figued i'd get more responses from the boise area. That is a great way to help out the lakes and rivers. makes for some good bait too. Are there any good books or videos to help a newbie like me?

I believe this year a dump truck is hauling off the tourney's take. Mine usually end up as bear bait. Come on down. There's also a new idaho bowfishing assocation website and page on facebook!
