Strawberry River in Duchesne ???
#1
Has anyone been up in this area lately and know what the river flow is like?

If so, would you be kind enough to report?

I can't seem to find river/dam flow reports on the reclamation website. Does anyone know where I can get that info?

I am thinking of taking my Dad up there soon and just don't want to drive all that way if it is unfishable.

[cool][#0000ff]I heard last week that the lake is full but there is very little water being released into the river. Low and clear. Some big browns hang out in the holes down there. I hooked one that took off downriver so fast it straightened out the bends in the river...but they snapped back.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Probably not a good idea to divulge my secrets on a public forum. But, ya see there is a bit of mystical magical messy madness in my method. I have a large tub of old wored out, tored up or color "blended" plastic baits. Whenever I need an answer to a question or solution to a problem I just ask the tub my question and then dump out the mass of plastics. You may not believe this (even though I are a honest fisherman), but those "well aged" pieces of synthetic manna automatically fall into a configuration that spells out my answer. Dangdest thang ya ever seed.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Somehow or 'nother my handle came out TubeDude. In reality the admins added a couple of e's to it. It really shoulda been TubDud.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]The truth? Got a phone call from a guy who travels back and forth on 40 several times a week. He also likes to fish Starvation and the river below. Said that tubes can launch at several places and that troutaholics are havin' a ball with both browns and rainbows on the lake. Also said he heard tell of a brown over 10 pounds caught in the river...and released.[/#0000ff]

I live in the basin and the water flow is way low right now. It has been that way for several weeks. They must not anticipate very much runoff and are keeping as much water as possible in Starvation.
