Well today I drug my coworker out for a little fishing. We got to Grand Junction today around 10:30 and didn't get on the water until 1:30. We had to make a detour at Sportsmans to get licenses and to gear up a little. My friend forgot his tackle box.[crazy]
Well we decided to hit Highline State Park in Loma. First started out searching for some trout. No takers. Right now I am stuck on the bank until I get a new float tube to stay at the hotel I stay at weekly.[
]
After a lttle of the boredom from not catching I switched to a chartreuse jig below a bobber and WHAM!!!! It was crappie time. I totaled out for a gross amount of 4. My buddy only got a couple of bites. We also tried Mack Mesa pond with no luck.
Now that I have a season license, it is time to fish. I need at least 6 more trips for it to pay for itself.[cool]
All in all it was a great day to get out. Out of the 4 fish I caught only one was not camera shy but still tried to get away. I know the crappie pic is not the best but hey still a fish!
