Hey guys just checking in from North Carolina. I am very new at fishing did a little in High School but that was several years ago. Me and my girlfriend started a few weeks ago around the county. We had no luck until recently when I found a little place at the buckhorn reservoir in Wilson, NC. We got a few small fish which I uploaded pics of. I look forward to learning tips and tricks from you guys.
Thanks for letting me be part of the forum.
Be safe

Thanks guys. I found the NC section was looking thur it a little while ago. As far as gear goes.....yeah I'm using some poles we got at walmart. At the time we did not want to throw a lot of money into it and not like it. However its addicting. She has already asked about going out Sunday when i get off work Saturday morning at 7am.

I might add that I've already restrung the poles to some better fishing line so its not a 100% Walmart special.

there is nothing wrong with walmart specials.. if you stick with a good name brand at an affordable price you will enjoy yourself...
next we will try to get you going on fly fishing instead of spinning :-)...
that is a nice looking bass..
you may also want to give the freshwater fishing forum a look.. lots of people there willing to help anyone with their questions..
