Fresh water fishing in Africa has many anglers traveling to new rivers and lakes to target the wide variety of species on the fly. Species like the Tiger Fish, sharp tooth catfish, variety of bream, african pike and Yellow fish to mention a few...

Tiger Fish found in Africa's mighty rivers and lakes are divided into 5 species:

1) hydrocynus vittatus/Zambezi system.
2) hydrocynus tanzaniae/rivers in Tanzania.
3) hydrocynus forskahlii/ North and West Africa.
4) hydrocynus brevis/ West Africa.
5) hydrocynus goliath/Congo basin.

The goliath has been recorded at weights of +40kg.

With new fishing destinations in Africa opening up slowly anglers are getting to fish new area's targeting some of the hardest fresh water fish found on our planet...
