Just thought I would share some photos of the lake we fished this summer along with some erie things on the shore line. Most of these are from the north slope of Pikes Peak. The first seven are of an alien.
Today my son and I went to Spinney Reservoir for the first time. We got a late start and did not get to the Reservoir until 10:30 a.m. we inflated or boats I carried mine down to the water and put it in anchored to shore to allow the pontoons to cool so I could add air if needed. My son said he would just wait and left his float tube by the truck while we finished getting ready. About five minutes [/b][/b][/b]BOOM [/b]his float tube blew up, as hard as it was not to I did not laugh. But I did tell him thats why mine is in the water. Anyway he ended up fishing from shore while I kicked around the lake. When we arrived this was the floatilla that was on the lake.

[cool][#0000ff]Good report and nice pics...but did you catch any fish?[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Loved the pics of the "barksquatch". Those are hard-headed monsters.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Too bad about the tube. That is one of the prerequisite things you have to experience to become a fully indoctrinated tuber. Most folks don't do it more than once.[/#0000ff]

Looks like a busy place. Maybe those are all alien children out there and he is watching that they don't get in trouble while playing.
Too bad about your son's float tube. You can usually get a replacement bladder though.
The fishing must be pretty "universally" good there to attract that many aliens. Hope the fishing was good for you two also.

Go to just about any forum and Spinney is the talk of Colorado. Probably like out Strawberry.
Surprised Koch hasn't jumped on this post yet...LOL
Not quite what I expected as far as scenery around lake. First pictures, yes.
How was the "CATCHING" ?

that pic of spinney is right byy the road going in near the pay station. i fish across the lake from there. that weed bed has started to die off where that pic is taken and it still gets pounded, dont get me wrong people pick up fish there, but i like to stick to buffalo bay personally. in a tube its a pain, but if you have a motor on your boat you can make it in about an hour or so from the south boat ramp, its well worth the trek.

I'm sorry for not being clearer on the pictures. The first 7 were taken at N. catamount res. The rest were at Spinney Res.
As far as the float tube it was the skin that blew apart the bladder is fine I think he had a small tear in the skin and with the over inflation from the sun/heat it just ripped it apart. The new cover has already been ordered.
