Duck Alley
#1
Flopped into the Boise River off Linder from about 4-6pm. Could not keep the 8-10" rainbows off a black and gold rooster tail.

I went there after going to a restaurant and saw they wanted $14.95 for "native idaho trout." I had my limit within 10 minutes, but continued to wade on downstream and it was constant action. It was literally the craziest fishing day I've ever had. The fish weren't huge, the biggest one was only 13" but I kept my limit of 6, and released a bunch more. If I had to guess, I'm sure I landed anywhere from 25-30.

I've been down duck alley many times, but this was the first time I've ever had a bite on like that. It was so odd, that when I was rinsing my hands on 2 different occasions I caught a trout with my spinner kicking around on the surface a foot in front of me.

Good times, and good eats!

the F & G just planted 2000 trout on the upper Boise and 2000 on the lower Boise on Sept. 21. Explains why you were up to your elbows in rainbows! Sounds like fun. Mike
