Fished our last tournament of the year and forever as our club has decided to disband after 23 years.

I managed to win and became Angler of the Year for the 4th year in a row. I won 5 out of 8 tourneys this year. A nice 69th birthday present and a good way to end my club tourney fishing.

Fishing was slow at Owyhee which was a surprise with all the good weather but there was a two day tourney up there last weekend so that could've had an effect. Water temp was 70 degrees.

I managed to get a 5 fish limit and weighed in 7.24 pounds using my usual black and blue football head jig with a cinnamon/purple twin tail grub. My partner managed big fish with a 3.24 pounder.

First pic is my partners big fish. Second pic is the monster with 4 arms. Third pic is the dog rock looking over us, well sort of. [laugh]

Wow, Bob! Quite a record of wins. No wonder the club is disbanding. Too tough of competition! Nice pics---funny.
I may be wrong, but I think that dog wants to do something other than look at you, considering the direction of his stance! Again, congrats to my fellow W. Idaho moderator. Mike

Sounds like a good note to end on. Are you going to join another club? We will have to get together next year. I always want to learn more.

I'm done with club fishing but I may fish some open tournaments.

I'd be glad to take you bass fishing if you promise to take me BIG trout fishing. I would love to catch some of those big ones.

Sounds good. Now asking for "big" fish I don't know.[laugh]

Actually the biggest trout I've caught this year were on accident while I was fishing for bass below Massacre Rocks. They hit lipless cranks.
