Well it is almost December and the highs are in the 70s emoBang emoBang emoBang emoBang I hate that...
We put in at Kings slough around noon and fished close to 5PM or so.
The warm weather sure isn't helping anything out, its killing us! We ended up catching 10-12 spots, none over 13" I dont think. The fish are scattered. Only 2 places that are holding big schools of fish, those fish will not hardly bite at all. We just ran around catching one here and there mainly off points with the dropshot and shakeyhead. Most of our fish were caught in 15-30FT of water. We did miss quite a few, but they were all more small ones I'm sure.
We need some cooler weather and we need it to stay cooler. This 50F one day - 70F the next is absolutely killing the fishing on Parksville right now. Usually the worm/jig bite is awesome through the first half of November... never really had that bite this November. By now the fish are usually starting to suspend and they would normally be biting FnF and jerkbaits. But its just not happening. Water temps were 58F-59F. Atleast it's still coming down, due to the long cold nights off setting the warm days.
Hopefully the weather will stabilize here soon. Highs are suppose to be in the 50s-lower60s throughout the next week or so... hoping we dont see another 70F day until the Spring!
Water is getting in the oil in the lower unit... hopefully by the time I have that fixed the fishing will be turned on. emoWorthy
Anyways, sorry that we couldn't do any better Spence.... we'll get them eventually, glad y'all came down it was good to see y'all!
