Fish Finders

Any suggestions on fish finders?

Is one particular transducer mount better than others?

I've read the threads about the fish finder, but I'm most caught up on the Trans mount.

I'm looking at the Humminbird PiranhaMAX finders... but I'm not sure if I'm hot or cold...

[#0000ff]PiranaMax might be a good choice for you. One of the key questions is always "How to mount the transducer". For this reason I always prefer the "skimmer" style transducer.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]The 3 pictures show how I attach the 'ducer to a PVC shaft, and then pop it on and off a fixed PVC extension on my tube so that it freely rotates up and down at launching and beaching.[/#0000ff]
