In answer to the original post:
I'm Euro side too, and yet I also saw fit to buy my tube from a US company, in this case Bucks Bags.
It doesn't matter if they are still made in the far east, the quality control varies according to the buying power of the business making the purchase from the manufacturer.
It's common to see twin levels of quality control on the same product from far east. In my occupation I see it all the time.
In tubes this would be twin stitching where triple exists on the same more costly version from the branded seller.
It all depends on how long you expect these items to last and what value you place on your safety. I have a high value on quality, and always buy from the branded seller, even though price is higher than the grey market version of same. I have learned that the cheaper one is NOT the exact same!
