Great day @ East Canyon!!!!
#1
What a day!! Hit EC with my buddy about 8. Another buddy and his crew came about 10. Fished "FAR AWAY" from the crowds over by the marina.

Got set up and first fish in less than a minute. [inline "dustin ec.jpg"]
small but fiesty.

Catching was steady, most caught on rat finkies tipped with eggs or waxies.

Water was 25 feet with most fish caught between 15 and 20 feet. the fish seemed to come in waves. Nothing..then all five of us hooking up. I usually fish about 5 feet away from my buddy with the VEX between us so we can both see whats going on below. We have never tangled up till today. A least 15 times. The fish went wild crossing our lines...BUT!!
One entanglement was not only the largest fish of the day, but my fist tiger. Whoooa!

Looked 19" and went 2 lbs but what a fight!!

The ice was a clear 7" with 2" of slush....watch out for holes when getting picture taken.

Whoops!![:/]

Other friend caught his first tiger too.

I ended up catching over forty.
All I can say is.....GREAT DAY!!!

Don't see reason to be bitter. That's a very nice post, story and pix. Thanks for sharing.

East Canyon is on that list of places I haven't been to (yet) but hope to try. Couple up that way.

Thanks for the info. Looks like a fun day on the ice. That tiger sure is deeply colored!

We had a great day on Monday, fishing over 50' of water, with the trout coming through from 20 - 30' down. All were suspended; no bottom fish.
Caught a bunch using small jigs tipped with waxies. Ice was about 9".
