Hit up East Canyon sunday bout 730am with my brother and two buddies. The bite was real slow at first had to move around a bit to find the fish. About 11 am it turned on for us and went till about 2 then it died. Pink tube jigs and green Ratso's tipped with wax worms was the ticket, iced several nice bows and one albino. Iv never saw an albino in EC so that was fun. The bite was really light and we had a fun time trying to hook up. No issues with the shorelines gettin on or off the ice for us.

Yeah the bite at EC usually turns on around 11 - 2 or 3. In the early morning if you fish shallow you can catch some bigger fish, but the bite is always slower till 11 or so.
Sounds like you had a fun day though!

I had the exact opposite day at EC today. Started very very fast with big bites this morning from 730 Til about 10 then I couldn't buy a bite. Didn't stick around past 1130 so I'm not sure if they picked back up or not

Just curious, did you notice if the albino fought a little more than the others? I caught one today at the Sandy Urban pond, and although it was small it kept jumping out of the water and fought way harder than the 10 other regulars I caught.

What depths were you fishing? At 11:00 or so try moving to deeper water 30 ft - 40 ft

I was in 25-30 the whole time. Every fish I caught was on the bottom, when it slowed I went suspended and was only able to get one small hit. I've never had much if any luck in the afternoon there, always done better in the morning and evening on the ice and soft water?

I wonder when they started stocking albino in EC? My son was up there yesterday and had the same report, several bows and one albino.

Iv noticed moving in to deeper water helped the later the day gets, but that is what was wierd, we acually went shallower and started catching the fish. I was a good time tho.
