Went up to Newton today and the edges where getting pretty ify. We pulled some logs over so we could cross the 5 foot gap of water and unsafe ice. Once we made it out, the ice was too thick [
]. Around 9 inches. Fishing was ok, caught a few dinky LMB, a few dinky perch and one or two keepers, threw them all back though. No action on the muskie pole. Maybe next time, if the ice is still there. Tight lines!
