I got to Deer Creek at about 1500 today and fished just north of the island in 50' of water. I got off the ice just after 1800 with two bites and no fish. Ice was about 6" with an inch of powder on top.

We hit Deer Creek Charleston Bay Fri(29th) at about 0745 6deg temp stayed all day, ice was was 7-8", fishing sporadic, seems like schools of fish come and go, jigs tipped with wax worm and yellow or rainbow powerbait worked the best. Best luck was near the main inlet channel near the open water, ice was about 5-6" in that area. Note, make sure you pay for parking. Brought home 9 14-16" fish and threw a few back. Overall ice conditions for the whole lake appeared to better than it has been.
