Early Spring Fishing Spots/Tips
#1
To say I'm a novice fisherman is an overstatement, but I love to fish. I'm not into ice fishing, so I'm counting down the days to warmer weather.

I'm wanting some advice on some good places to try once the ice starts to melt. I live in Lehi and fish from the shore, I'll go for anything from bass to trout and everything in-between. I certainly don't catch a lot of anything, but I love spending a day at the lake.

I'd love some insight on where to try come early spring, and even some tips to help me be successful.

I'd appreciate and information you can share!

Thanks!

You should fish Utah lake for white bass with jigs near river inlets and or go to jordanell for bass and fish any were there is decent size rocks or trees in the water with a tube or sinko at jordanell I took second in my tournament going off what I just told you so good luck I can't wait for summer ether I ice fish alot but there is nothing that compares to bass fishing for me

I fish Salem Pond year round. It never freezes over and it's loaded with trout and channel catfish. You'll also find a ton of bluegill and the occasional bass.

During the winter I typically just fish a bit of power bait floating off the bottom or a small jig with a worm beneath a bobber. The rest of the year I fish a #3 Aglia spinner in rainbow pattern and I rarely get skunked. I have better luck on the south end of the pond. The north end is constantly hammered. I also fish off the bridge quite a bit. I attached a map for you to look at.
