]TEEZUR JIGS CRAPPIE TOURNAMENT
We have a few more details worked out for the crappie tournament that we are
going to have for David Summers.
In case some of you don’t know, a few months ago David was diagnosed with
inoperable cancer of the pancreas and has spread to his liver. David has
spent a very large portion of his life the past several years making us the
best crappie jigs on the market. His dream these past few years, has been to
retire from his teaching job and devote all his time to doing what he loves
to do. And that is making good quality crappie jigs. He retired on a Monday,
and found out Tuesday that he had terminal cancer. That kind of news would
be hard to swallow for any one. But David has accepted the cards dealt to
him and says that he will continue to make his jigs for as long as he can.
We are having a free crappie tournament for David on Saturday November 22nd
and it will be here on Kentucky Lake at Mansard Island Resort & Marina. The
owners of Mansard Island are going to cut their prices 20% for anyone
staying there that is attending the tournament. He is also supplying the
cabin space needed to have the fish fry after the tournament. Again, this
tournament is free for every one that wants to attend. There is no big money
for the winners, just bragging rights and plaques. But we will have a lot of
very nice prizes that are being donated by several businesses that will be
given out as door prizes. Here are a few of the companies and the prizes we
