If you're talking about the Bruneau Dunes State Park ponds I have a little info on them, if you're talking about the Bruneau Arm in Strike... I'm out.

I usually fish the 2nd pond below the big dune. If you have access to a float tube, toon, or canoe you'll have a lot more luck since the area is so large. If not, there's a lot of places you can get to by foot. At the foot of the dune, towards the south west side of the lake, there's a lot of little marshes that you can push through and fish. Your typical bass rigs work fine, nothing too fancy, just work them along the weed line. The lake itself on the west end is fairly shallow, but I would watch out if you decide to wade. Along the base of the dune, there's a secondary weedline about 15 yards out from shore, fish along that instead of casting towards the shallows.
If you aren't hooking up, the go to bait has always been a 3" fluke (I think that's what they're called, a little minnow plastic) and it seems to work magic on them.
Towards the end of June-Septemeber, that place is a glorified weedhole. Best of luck to ya, that place has been one of my favorites for the last 15 years, and I'm 27 lol!

I only fished there once but I did really well on a 6" or 7" worm with a curly tail set up with a texas rig. Almost all the fish were caught while the worm was dropping, then I'd let it set on the bottom for a couple seconds. Worked really well for me. But I have only fished there once, like I said. And I was in the pond by the observatory.

usually when we go up there we eithe use texas rigged worms or heddon torpedo. I do have a flot tube but we usualy fish around the docks or off the docks i'll have to try that weed bed area. Thanks for the tips i'll give a report when i get back.
