Lake Lowell Opening - 4/15
#1
It was just about what I expected. A few boats around, water temps 47-49, and slow fishing. I fished for a couple of hours in the PM, flipping a small black rubber skirted jig with a 4" hook tail worm trailer. I had two strikes, landed one 14" LM bass and lost the other. The cut at the boat ramp at Access 1 on the S shore was blocked with a mass of tumble weeds, but I was able to force through them with my 24v electric motor.

Things will pick up when the water warms a bit. Someone should get into them tomorrow in the tournament. I found the 49 degree water back close to shore in about 2' of water.

Hey brother Mike!

How have you been? Glad to hear you got a boat. I know you were wanting one!

I'm thinking about trying Magic in May sometime and trolling for those big 'ol trout.

I'll get some pics posted of my boat too. It's a 17' Nitro. If you are down in my neck of the woods, after it warms up a bit , we should try Lowell again. We can take my boat.[Wink]
