Loaded the Kayak up and headed out directly after work. I caught a total of 7 LM and one lonesome spot. All fish caught in 3 foot of water or less. Started out with a shallow running crank bait with NO luck, I tried for 30 minutes or so and then decided to change over to a spinner bait. Caught my first fish about 3 cast later in 2 foot of water. All fish hit the spinner bait in 3 foot of water or less and and inside 10 feet or less from the bank. I didn't catch any kickers but the bite was definitely on this evening...I fished from 6:15 until 8:15 or so. All my fish were around laid down trees or stumps. Also - you guys in boats be careful because there are LOTS of floating limbs and stumps from all the rain and storms we've had. I will probably be fishing in a boat with a buddy this weekend so I was glad to see this before hand.
