Carey lake 4-22-11

Well I went to carey lake to do some early prospecting. Air temp was 32 Water at the launch was 43. I kicked through the canals and to the back. We tried every placce in the lake. NOT one bite! Water temp at 2:00 was 46 in the far back canal by the hot spring,,,,, 39. Evidently that is also where some of the run off water is coming in. The water was brown but not like chocolate milk. We went over the edge and into the south section of the lake. It is very shallow most of it under 3 foot deep and cold 41.
I think it is just a bit too early I guess. We couldn't find a fish anywhere. Ron
