Black's Creek

Are there fish in Black's Creek? I've heard that there used to be everything from blue gill, bass, crappie, perch, catfish and even brown trout. I live not far from there and occasionally will drive out there but have never fish or seen anyone fish it before. Do people stay away because of all the shooting and garbage or is it that there are no longer fish there?

i have had good catches of perch and crappie in years past. worth a try up towards dam

Not many years ago it was a decent fishery. Then someone f'd up the control gate and the reservoir drained killing all the fish. Rumor was F&G planted it again this year but I haven't went online to verify that.

Fished it this summer one night and caught a ton of little perch. one that was eater size, nine inches or so.
